Joel Bray Marangella, appointed by Mason Remey as the third Guardian
and as the President of the embryonic Universal House of Justice (known
as the "Second International Bahá'í Council"), his accession to the
office of the Guardianship occurred automatically upon the activation
by Mason Remey of the Second International Bahá'í Council with Joel B.
Marangella as its head.
The third Guardian is currently the Center of the Cause. His
ministry has been and is devoted to overcoming and eliminating
completely the Most Great Violation of the Covenant of Bahá'u'lláh.

The Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Bahá has been described by the first
Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith, Shoghi Effendi, as that "immortal
Document", the "Charter of the New World Order" of Bahá'u'lláh and a
Document which "in some of its features" is "supplementary to no less
